Ritual Design for Office Transition
This document outlines a repeatable checklist for designing cultural rituals during an office move, with an emphasis on team participation, meaningful storytelling, and reinforcing values through space and shared moments.
Purpose
To embed culture through intentional rituals during key transition moments, using the move to a new office as a catalyst.
Checklist: Office Move Rituals
I. Before the Move: Cultural Preparation
- Team Story Session
- [ ] Discuss: “What are we leaving behind?” / “What are we becoming?”
- [ ] Draft a shared “Culture Wall” with team inputs
- [ ] Collect personal stories from the old space
- Symbolic Choices
- [ ] Name rooms or zones with team involvement
- [ ] Choose a symbolic object to carry over
II. Moving Day: Cultural Activation
- Ritualized Entry
- [ ] Plan a symbolic entrance (music, sequence, threshold)

III. First 30 Days: Ritual Embedding
